Three Automotive Property Deals in Cardiff Hub

Three property transactions have been completed at the automotive hub on Penarth Road in Cardiff, underscoring strong demand for prime roadside locations in South Wales.

Kwik Fit Strengthens South Wales Presence

Penarth Commercial Properties, after a strategic review of its assets, has let a prime roadside unit to Kwik Fit. This move bolsters the operator's footprint in South Wales, adding a key location to its network.

Buy & Go Cars Acquires Former Transit Centre

The company has also sold the freehold interest in the former Transit Centre to Buy & Go Cars. The buyer is establishing a new flagship site in Cardiff, marking a significant expansion in the region.

Arnold Clark Purchases Fordthorne Business

In the third deal, the Fordthorne business and adjoining land have been sold to Arnold Clark. The group acquires the site along with existing Omoda and Jaecoo operations, further consolidating its presence in the area.

These transactions highlight sustained investor and occupier appetite for well-located automotive assets. Penarth Road remains a focal corridor for operators expanding across South Wales.

Penarth Commercial Properties was advised by Tim Carr of Tide Advisory, who led negotiations and guided the transactions to completion. The Cardiff office of property advisory firm Fletcher Morgan marketed the properties.

Matthew Jones, director at Fletcher Morgan, said: “These transactions demonstrate the continued depth of demand for well-located roadside and automotive assets in Cardiff. Penarth Road remains one of the city’s most active corridors, and we are pleased to have delivered a strong set of outcomes for our client.”

Roger Pugsley, chief executive of Penarth Commercial Properties, added: “This programme was driven by a clear strategic mandate. Tim Carr of Tide Advisory led the restructure and defined the execution strategy, which Fletcher Morgan then helped deliver effectively in the market. This leaves Penarth Commercial Properties well positioned to expand its commercial property investments in the region.”
