Wetherspoons Hikes Pint and Meal Deal Prices in 794 Pubs

Wetherspoons has confirmed plans to raise the price of its pints and meal deals, affecting customers across all 794 outlets. Prices will increase by up to 20p, with drinks rising by between 10p and 20p from this morning (June 3).

Breakfast and Meal Deals Affected

Breakfast muffins have seen a 20p increase, while meal deals have risen by 10p. Coffee and tea prices vary by location, increasing by between 4p and 16p. Fish and chips will also cost an additional 10p.

Chairman Comments on Cost Pressures

Wetherspoon chairman and founder Tim Martin previously warned that the pub chain faces "substantial increases in costs," which could lead to profits falling below expectations. He stated that this will leave "profits slightly below market expectations."
