Bullring's AllSaints Closes After 22 Years, Marking End of an Era
Bullring's AllSaints Closes After 22 Years

An iconic Bullring store that opened alongside the shopping centre itself in 2003 has now closed its doors permanently, marking the end of a significant chapter for retail in Birmingham. AllSaints had been a fixture in the Bullring for more than 22 years, having recently relocated to a bigger unit on the upper floor of the East Mall in early 2025.

End of an Era for AllSaints in Birmingham

The closure took effect on February 1, 2026, bringing to a close the brand's long-standing standalone presence in the city. While the dedicated shop is gone, AllSaints maintains a presence in the Bullring through items stocked at Selfridges, offering a limited continuation of its offerings.

A Trend of Retail Closures in the Bullring

AllSaints is not alone in its departure from the shopping centre this year. Several other retailers have also ceased operations, including SDMN, 3, and Oakberry. Oakberry has indicated plans to return to Birmingham city centre once a suitable new location is found, and 3 continues to operate a shop on the High Street. However, SDMN, the retail store of the YouTube collective the Sidemen, has not announced any further retail plans in the area.

Hope for Future Returns and New Arrivals

Despite the disappointment of seeing established brands leave, retail dynamics often see comebacks. A notable example is Victoria's Secret, which is set to reopen at the Bullring later this year after a two-year absence. This return is significant, as the brand previously had a prominent presence in the centre before closing. Since then, Sephora has occupied its old unit, and Victoria's Secret will now take over the former Next store near the Bull, with large hoardings already announcing its comeback.

Other new shops have been announced for the Bullring in 2026, including brands like Lululemon and Subdued, indicating ongoing evolution in the retail landscape. Additionally, Lovisa is relocating within the centre, similar to Claire's Accessories before it, moving to another shop on the lower ground floor.

This shift highlights the cyclical nature of retail, where closures can pave the way for fresh opportunities and renewed interest from both returning and new brands.
