Greggs has been named the most popular coffee shop in Birmingham, new data reveals, with a commanding 66% overall market share that far outstrips its competitors.
Data Analysis Reveals Dominance
The experts at Zable analysed internal consumer spending data from supermarkets, fast-food chains and coffee shops to determine which coffee shop took the number one spot. By examining transaction volumes, spending patterns and purchase timings across major retailers, they uncovered which brands dominate in different parts of the UK.
In Birmingham, Greggs holds 66% of the market share, significantly ahead of Costa Coffee at 17%, Starbucks at 11%, and both Pret and Caffe Nero at 3% each.
