A brand new Yorkie chocolate bar flavor is making its debut on supermarket shelves across the United Kingdom this week. This launch is part of the company's special celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the iconic Yorkie brand.

Rachel Beaufoy, Marketing Manager for Nestlé Confectionery, commented on the new product. "We know that Yorkie fans love a chocolate bar with substance, and the new Yorkie Salted Caramel Pretzel Duo delivers just that," she said. "The combination of smooth caramel flavor, milk chocolate, and crunchy pretzel pieces brings extra texture to the bar while staying true to the brand’s chunky format."
Limited Availability and Discontinuation of Other Bars
It remains unclear how long this new flavor will be available in stores, prompting Yorkie enthusiasts to purchase it quickly before potential stock shortages. This launch coincides with Nestlé's recent announcement to discontinue two other chocolate bars from its lineup.
The company confirmed that Breakaway will cease production from March, and Yorkie Biscuit is also being axed. A spokesperson for Nestlé UK & Ireland explained the decision, stating, "We know fans will be disappointed to see it go, but it’s time for us to say goodbye to Breakaway. We have seen a decline in the sales of Breakaway over the past few years and unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to discontinue it."
The spokesperson added, "By saying goodbye to Breakaway, we can focus on our best-performing brands, as well as develop exciting new innovations to delight consumers’ tastebuds." Regarding Yorkie Biscuit, they noted, "While we know it’s sad to see Yorkie Biscuit go, we want to assure shoppers that we have plenty of exciting new products lined up for 2024. Watch this space."
