Tesco has announced a significant change to its Meal Deal offering, introducing a trial of hot breakfast and lunch options across 39 stores in the UK. The supermarket giant, competing with Morrisons, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, and Sainsbury's, is allowing Clubcard holders to purchase hot items for £5.50 as part of the deal.
New Hot Options Available
Customers can now choose from a variety of hot products, including sausage rolls, croissants, and paninis. The deal also includes a selection of sides such as fruit pots, and drinks like chilled coffees, smoothies, and juices. This trial aims to provide convenient and flavour-packed options for busy mornings.
Expanded Breakfast Range
In addition to the hot meal deal, Tesco is introducing a fresh range of chilled breakfast-to-go products across larger stores. New items include the Tesco Butter Beans & Chorizo Egg Pot, Tesco Banoffee Overnight Oats, and Tesco Strawberry Compote with Granola and Greek Style Yoghurt.
Hot Meal Deal Items
The hot meal deal lineup features the Tesco Beechwood Smoked Bacon Brioche Style Roll, Tesco Cumberland Pork Sausage Brioche Style Roll, and Tesco Sausage, Bacon & Scrambled Eggs Wrap. Also included are the Tesco Smoked Ham & Mature Cheddar Croissant, Tesco Smoked Ham & Mature Cheddar Panini, Tesco Mozzarella, Tomato & Pesto Panini, and Tesco Tuna, Cheese & Onion Melt Panini.
This announcement comes shortly after Tesco revealed the expansion of its Tesco Sustainable Pig Group (TSPG), with the number of pigs supplied through the scheme growing by nearly 30 percent. The move is intended to strengthen long-term support for British pig farmers.
