Broadband and TV bills can quickly add up, especially for households seeking faster internet and premium sports or cinema channels. However, some Virgin Media customers may be able to unlock a sizeable free perk before the offer disappears later this month.
Limited-Time Promotion Details
Virgin Media has confirmed a limited-time deal giving eligible new customers the choice between a free LG 43-inch 4K Smart TV worth around £210 or up to £150 bill credit on selected bundles. The promotion runs until 11.59pm on May 27 for customers purchasing qualifying packages online.
This applies to selected 24-month Virgin Media bundles, such as sports, cinema and broadband packages. Customers choosing the bill credit option will have the cash automatically applied to their account, with any remaining balance carrying over onto future bills until the full amount is used.
Qualifying Bundles and Pricing
According to Virgin Media, qualifying bundles include the Sports package valued at £54.99 per month, the Cinema bundle at £44.99 per month and the Sports + Cinema package at £64.99 per month. The deals also include broadband speeds varying from average downloads of 362Mbps up to 1130Mbps on the top-tier Gig1 package.
The packages include perks such as Netflix Standard with Ads and access to more than 200 TV channels, with some bundles featuring Sky Sports HD and Sky Cinema HD content. There are no setup fees for customers purchasing online during the promotion period.
Reliability and Additional Benefits
The broadband provider recently highlighted that its services were named the UK's Most Reliable Broadband Provider by Uswitch using Opensignal data. Reliable high-speed broadband has become increasingly important for households streaming sport, films and online gaming across multiple devices.
Meanwhile, customers taking out Virgin Media and O2 Volt packages can also access additional extras including roaming in selected countries and subscription perks through O2 Priority. According to O2, Priority members can unlock discounts, early ticket access and savings on entertainment and dining throughout the year.
Referral Scheme and Conditions
Virgin Media has also confirmed that customers referring friends could receive up to £50 per successful recommendation through its referral scheme. However, households can only claim either the free TV or the bill credit offer, not both.
There are some conditions attached to the promotion. According to Virgin Media's terms and conditions, customers who cancel services within the cancellation period or downgrade packages before installation may lose eligibility for the reward.
