Hundreds of people facing homelessness in Manchester will receive vital support this winter thanks to a generous donation from a major homebuilder.
Warm Clothing for Those in Need
Taylor Wimpey Manchester has provided 321 essential winter items, including socks, gloves, scarves, and hats, to the local homelessness charity Lifeshare. This contribution forms a key part of the company's wider national initiative, the Wrap Up Warm campaign.
A National Campaign with Local Impact
Across England, Scotland, and Wales, Taylor Wimpey's campaign has now donated over 14,000 much-needed winter essentials to 24 homelessness centres. This effort is conducted in support of their national charity partners: CRASH, St Mungo’s, and CRISIS.
Jimmy Dunn, the respite coordinator at Lifeshare, highlighted the significance of such donations during the festive period. "Although Christmas is a happy time for many, it can also highlight the real struggles some people face," he said. "We are grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their efforts in donating warm clothing to those experiencing homelessness during the winter months. Their contribution will make a real difference to people in need."
Building More Than Homes
Rachel Barber, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, emphasised the company's commitment to the community. "Lifeshare provides a vital service and support to homeless people, and we hope that our donation will go some way to providing some comfort to those without a home this Christmas," she stated.
