Pupils, families, and staff at Ash Lea Special School in Cotgrave came together for a charity football match and summer fayre, combining laughter and friendly competition to raise funds for the school and its charity partner, Footprints. The event was supported by a £500 donation from Nottinghamshire housebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes, which helped power the day's success.
Community celebration and fundraising success
The action-packed day brought the Cotgrave community together to celebrate while raising vital funds. Alongside the charity football match, visitors enjoyed a bustling summer fayre packed with activities, including the chance to put school staff in the stocks. The collective effort ensured essential backing will continue for young people with complex learning needs across the region.
Ash Lea Special School supports children and young people aged three to 18 with complex learning difficulties, empowering them to develop the physical, communication, social, sensory, self-help and thinking skills they need to achieve their full potential.
