Bath Tennis Club is hosting a special community event on September 13 to raise money for two charities in memory of two much-loved local members, Sarah Griffiths and Daniel Money, who passed away last autumn. The annual gathering invites residents, families, and friends to join a day of fun activities both on and off the court, with all proceeds split between Dorothy House and Cancer Research UK.
Event details and activities
Organisers are encouraging everyone to wear pink and spend the day taking part in casual games for players of all ages, alongside homemade cakes, a barbecue, and autumn drinks. Visitors can also look forward to a charity raffle, special presentations, and the unveiling of two commemorative benches. More than 100 pink tennis balls have been generously donated by local manufacturer Price of Bath to mark the occasion.
Charity beneficiaries
Proceeds raised throughout the afternoon will be split between Dorothy House, which provided end-of-life care for Sarah, and Cancer Research UK. While registration is completely free, participants are asked to sign up online in advance to help organisers plan catering and court space.

The fundraiser takes place on September 13 at Bath Tennis Club, Park Lane, Bath. Entry is free, but registration is required.
