Motorcycle enthusiasts heading to a major racing weekend can leave their heavy gear in safe hands while raising money for a military charity. Volunteers will operate a dedicated cloakroom service to store leathers, helmets, and heavy kit for visitors attending the high-speed event.
Practical Service for Racegoers
The practical initiative allows racegoers to explore the circuit freely without carrying bulky equipment around the venue all day. Supporters and air cadets will look after up to 1,000 sets of riding gear across the action-packed weekend.
Visitors can also drop by an interactive stall to play fundraising games and learn more about the organisation's work. All donations collected from the service will help provide emotional and financial support to serving personnel, veterans, and military families.
Community Engagement Highlight
Clive Ward, Hampshire branch chair, said: "Thruxton Superbikes has become one of the highlights of our community engagement calendar." He continued: "The Bikers’ Cloakroom is a service that many visitors now look forward to each year, and it’s only possible thanks to the incredible commitment of our volunteers and the support of 457 Squadron Air Training Corps."
He added: "The event gives us a fantastic opportunity to meet thousands of people, raise awareness of SSAFA’s work and generate vital funds that help us continue supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families across Hampshire."

Thruxton Superbikes takes place from August 14 to August 16, at Thruxton Circuit, Andover, Hampshire. Children under 12 go free, but all children require a ticket. Tickets for the race meeting can be purchased through the official Thruxton website.
