Sharon, a dedicated activity assistant at Maple Leaf Lodge care home, has bravely shaved her head to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event, held at the home in Grantham, Lincolnshire, saw residents, colleagues, and friends gather to show their support as activity coordinator Courtney performed the shave.
Fundraising Success
Sharon's bold move raised an impressive £500 for the charity, with care assistant Darren adding another £50 by also shaving his head. The combined total of £550 will go towards Macmillan's vital work supporting people affected by cancer.
Courtney, activity coordinator at Maple Leaf Lodge, praised the collective effort: “Everyone in the home was keen to show Sharon support. Macmillan cancer support is a great cause that helps many people in need, which is a cause very close to the hearts of all our staff and residents, and we are really proud of Sharon to have been able to raise this money.
