Residents of Cleveleys have a new reason to visit their high street this festive season, as a brand-new Cats Protection pop-up shop has officially opened its doors. The temporary store brings a dedicated homeware offering back to the area, providing crucial support for felines in need in the lead-up to Christmas.
A Welcome Return for Homeware
The pop-up shop, which welcomed its first customers last week, arrives following the closure of the charity's larger homeware outlet earlier this year. That shop was located in the former Argos unit but had to close when its lease ended. Having been a long-standing feature for many locals, this new pop-up acts as a temporary solution while the organisation continues its hunt for a larger, permanent premises.
The new temporary shop is situated at 61 Victoria Road West, Cleveleys, FY5 1AJ. It is conveniently located near the charity's existing Cleveleys shop, which will continue to sell clothing, accessories, books, and toys. The new pop-up, however, focuses exclusively on household goods, offering everything from furniture and soft furnishings to kitchenware and decorative pieces.
Community Support for a Vital Cause
This initiative gives the local community a direct way to contribute to the charity's essential work. Lesley Fishleigh, the area retail manager, expressed her delight, stating: "We're absolutely thrilled to have homeware back in Cleveleys.
"The team has worked incredibly hard to get the shop ready, including our brilliant shop manager Jorge Jordan, who has led the set-up, ensuring the store is filled with fantastic pre-loved finds. We've already had so much interest from our loyal customers, and this pop-up gives us the chance to stay connected with the community while we look for a new permanent home."

Every day, it costs the charity an average of £26 to look after a single cat, covering expenses from food and shelter to essential veterinary treatments.
