Police have launched an urgent appeal to track down a heartless criminal who targeted one of Birmingham's most vulnerable communities in a despicable theft.
The incident occurred at the Sense charity shop on Poplar Road in Solihull, where a brazen thief made off with collection boxes dedicated to supporting adults with complex learning disabilities.
Caught on Camera
CCTV footage released by West Midlands Police shows the suspect entering the shop and casually approaching the counter before committing the theft. The individual can be seen wearing distinctive clothing including a grey hooded jacket with the hood up, grey trousers, and white trainers.
Detectives believe the theft took place around 3:30pm on Wednesday, 19th June, and are urging anyone who recognises the individual to come forward immediately.

What makes this crime particularly distressing is that Sense charity specifically supports individuals with complex disabilities, including those who are deafblind. The stolen funds were destined to provide essential services and support for some of the region's most vulnerable residents.
