Glorious sunshine in Clacton provided the perfect backdrop for the Edensor Care Centre Summer Fête, bringing together residents, families, friends and the wider community for a day of fun, laughter and entertainment.
Event Details and Attendees
Residents from Edensor were joined by family members and friends, as well as residents from Joseph's Nursing Home, on Saturday, July 4. Also enjoying the celebrations were adults supported by Diagrama Foundation, including guests from Duckyls Farm in Sussex, Cabrini in Orpington and the Supported Living Service in Bromley, all of which support adults with a learning disability.
Entertainment and Refreshments
Guests tucked into delicious food from the barbecue, cooled off with ice creams from Mr Whippy and were entertained throughout the afternoon by popular vocalist Tracy, whose lively performance had everyone singing along.
Raffle and Fundraising
The event also featured a raffle, which raised £300 for resident activities. Edensor Care Centre was delighted by the generosity of local businesses that donated prizes, including St John's Plant Centre, Buffalo Restaurant, Coffee Break and Cult Furniture. Their support helped make the day even more special and is greatly appreciated by everyone at the home.
Community Spirit
The Summer Fête was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, bringing people together to create lasting memories and enjoy a fantastic day in the sunshine.
