The Dream Factory, a leading Essex-based charity, has raised more than £13,000 through its annual 3 Stadium Challenge, where participants walked over 11 miles between the home grounds of West Ham United FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, and Arsenal FC. The funds will grant magical wishes for vulnerable young people aged 3 to 25 who suffer from life-threatening conditions, severe disabilities, or are receiving end-of-life care.
Walkers Joined by Olympic Legend
At the start line, walkers were joined by Olympic champion and charity patron Christine Ohuruogu MBE, who led warm-up stretches. Ambassador Isaac Harvey MBE also shared his personal Dream Factory experience, highlighting the lasting impact of having a dream granted. The charity has already brought joy to over 783 children and their families.
Gratitude from Founder
Avril Mills BEM, founder and trustee of The Dream Factory, expressed her thanks: “Events like this would not be possible without our dedicated volunteer marshals and volunteer first aiders, and we are extremely grateful for their support. Thank you to everyone who walked, volunteered and supported this year’s challenge. A big shout out to our sponsors GET2SPORTSMARKET, Terry Tew Sound & Light, Lloyds Estate Agents (Woodford Green), and Myra's cakes for their support.”
Next Event: The Mud Run Challenge
Following the success of the stadium walk, the charity is preparing for its next major fundraiser: The Mud Run Challenge on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The messy obstacle course will be held at the Nuclear Wild Forest at Parsonage Farm on Ongar Road in Brentwood. Interested participants can sign up via the charity's portal.
