Ramsdale Park Golf Centre Raises £32,000 for Local Charities in 2025
Golf Club Raises £32k for Homeless and Cystic Fibrosis Support

Ramsdale Park Golf Centre is celebrating a remarkable year of charitable giving, having raised an impressive £32,000 throughout 2025 for two vital causes. The funds will support the Emmanuel House Support Centre and Cystic Fibrosis support initiatives.

A Year of Generous Community Spirit

The substantial total was formally presented to representatives from both charities during the club's annual presentation evening, held on November 7. This achievement underscores another successful 12 months of community-focused fundraising and reinforces the club's enduring commitment to supporting charitable organisations across Nottinghamshire.

This latest effort is part of a much broader legacy of support. Over the past ten years alone, Ramsdale Park's initiatives have generated more than £250,000 for good causes. The 2025 total was built through a diverse mix of activities, including regular fundraising events, section-led efforts, auctions, and member-organised projects.

General Manager Theresa Plimmer, speaking on behalf of Ramsdale Park, expressed her pride in the collective effort. "I am incredibly proud of my team at Ramsdale Park and our ever-generous members," she said. "We are all so delighted that we are able to make a real difference within our community."

Making a Direct Local Impact

A significant portion of this year's fundraising will go to Emmanuel House Support Centre, a charity offering practical assistance to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Nottingham. Theresa Plimmer has further strengthened the club's ties to this cause by volunteering her own time within the city, providing direct support to those in need.

The funds designated for Cystic Fibrosis support will aid ongoing research, advocacy work, and essential services for families affected by the condition. This targeted support highlights the club's desire to contribute to both immediate local needs and longer-term medical challenges.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Building on this momentum, planning for the 2026 fundraising calendar is already underway. The club is actively seeking contributions for its major annual charity auction, scheduled for July. Donations of goods, services, or experience prizes are greatly appreciated, as they directly enhance the support the club can offer its chosen charities.

Ramsdale Park has extended heartfelt thanks to all members, sponsors, visitors, and volunteers who donated prizes, attended events, or offered their support over the past year. Located in the Calverton countryside just outside Nottingham, the golf centre is a well-established East Midlands destination that continues to prove its dedication to local causes, with plans to seek further opportunities to make a tangible difference in 2026 and beyond.
