Staff Nurse Imogen Barter of Moya Cole Hospice is urging the community to enter the 2026 Summer Raffle, which offers a top prize of £5,000. The draw will take place on Tuesday, August 11, and entries must be submitted by August 2 via the hospice website.
Why Enter the Summer Raffle?
Proceeds from the raffle directly support the hospice's inpatient unit, day therapy, and outpatient services across Heald Green, Stockport, and Little Hulton in Salford. Barter, who works on the inpatient unit, emphasizes that the hospice relies heavily on community donations, as only one-third of its funding comes from the NHS. The rest is funded through public generosity.
How to Enter
Entries can be made online at www.moyacole.org.uk/raffle. Each ticket purchased contributes to the hospice's ability to provide free care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Impact of Community Support
Barter states, “The work we do wouldn’t be possible without your support. Your generosity helps us be there for patients when they need us most.” The hospice also offers a 24-hour telephone advice line for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals in Salford, Manchester, Trafford, and Stockport, along with a Hospice at Home service in Salford and Trafford, a Community Specialist Palliative Care Team in Salford, and a homelessness palliative care service in Manchester.
