The Moya Cole Hospice Golf Day at Dunham Forest Golf & Country Club was a resounding success, with participants enjoying glorious weather while raising vital funds for the hospice. The event, held at one of the UK's most scenic golf courses, marked a return to the venue this year.
Funds Support New Hospice
Proceeds from the golf day, along with previous years' events, contributed to the funding of the brand-new hospice in Heald Green. The facility has now opened, with patients and staff having occupied the building for over a month. According to Rachel McMillan, chief executive of Moya Cole Hospice, the new state-of-the-art hospice is already making dramatic changes to patients' quality of life.
Sponsors and Supporters
McMillan extended heartfelt thanks to the three sponsors of this year's event: Sunil Ruia and the Bhim Ruia Foundation, Swizzles Matlow, and Dnata. Their support ensures that every penny raised goes directly to patient care. Donations, sponsorship, and prizes from generous contributors were also acknowledged, along with the team at Dunham Forest for hosting the brilliant event at their beautiful venue.
