Deal's beloved Music4Martha event will mark its 10th anniversary with a day of festivities on Saturday, August 2, at The Square. Organised in partnership with The King's Head, Dunkerley's of Deal, and The Port Arms, the free community event will feature live music, fundraising activities, and family entertainment from noon onwards.
Live Music Lineup
The entertainment kicks off with a performance by Emma Black, followed by acts including DAPA, Thomas Abrahams, Muzz & Joe Duo, Miami Vice Solo, Nightwatch, and Grooveshack. The event transforms The Square into a vibrant hub of live music and community spirit.
Fundraising and Family Fun
Visitors can enjoy a variety of fundraising activities, including a charity auction, raffle, and the popular chance to win a Barrow of Booze. Children can take part in face painting and enjoy sweet treats from local food and confectionery stalls. Professional photographer Chris Mansfield will capture the day's highlights; attendees who prefer not to appear should notify him.
Supporting Martha Trust
All funds raised support Martha Trust's residents, who have profound disabilities. Fundraising and events manager Kerry Banks expressed gratitude: “We are incredibly grateful to all the organisations that continue to support Martha Trust. The funds raised through events such as Music4Martha make a huge difference to the lives of our residents with profound disabilities. This is a free and inclusive event for the whole community, and we would love people to come along, enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment and help us celebrate 10 wonderful years of Music4Martha.”
The charity is seeking auction prizes, raffle prizes, and donations of bottles or cans of alcohol for the Barrow of Booze fundraiser. To donate or learn more, email kerrybanks@marthatrust.org.uk or call 01304 610448.
