Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is inviting the local community to join them at Shooting Star House in Hampton for their Open Day. The event will take place on Friday, June 12 and will give visitors a chance to see the vital work the charity does supporting families with a child or young person living with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved.
Visitors will have a unique opportunity to explore the building’s welcoming facilities, meet dedicated staff members and discover the wide range of services the charity provides to families across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey.
The Open Day will feature two free morning sessions, with light refreshments and family-friendly activities, available until mid-afternoon. Visitors can book a time slot in advance to secure their place.
Shooting Star House is the charity’s Outreach, Therapies and Family Support Centre, providing essential services including bereavement counselling, creative therapies, sibling support groups, drop-in sessions, and interactive play. These services offer a vital lifeline to families navigating the unimaginable, ensuring they are supported every step of the way.

This Open Day also marks the start of Children’s Hospice Week (June 15-21), a national awareness campaign celebrating the incredible work of children’s hospices across the UK.
