Specsavers in Colwyn Bay is giving £1 for every pair of glasses sold throughout August to support two local charities that help children and young people. Customers can choose which cause receives their donation by placing a token in a box when they collect their new eyewear.
Two Charities Benefit from Customer Choice
The month-long initiative supports North Wales Superkids, which aids disadvantaged children across the region, and The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to young people experiencing hair loss. This customer-driven approach allows shoppers to direct their support to the cause they feel most passionate about.
Staff Member to Donate 14 Inches of Hair
Team members are also joining the effort, with colleague Tara Owen preparing to cut off 14 inches of her hair to donate to The Little Princess Trust. A local hairdresser will perform the haircut at the end of August to support the hair loss charity.

Tara Owen, team member, explained: "Growing my hair to donate to The Little Princess Trust is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I’m really excited to finally be able to make that donation." She continued: "It’s a brilliant feeling knowing that my donation will help a young person at such a difficult time."
