A Black Country drug dealer has been jailed for three years after a tip-off led police to his arrest in Wolverhampton. Shem Harding, 33, was caught on New Year's Eve on a street in All Saints following intelligence received by West Midlands Police.
Arrest and Search
Officers on patrol pulled over Harding and discovered 62 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine on his person, along with £100 in cash from the centre console of his Audi. A subsequent search of his home on Parklands Road uncovered significant quantities of Class A drugs in the lounge and kitchen, as well as drug-dealing paraphernalia and additional cash.
Court Proceedings
Harding was charged with possession with intent to supply and pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to three years in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday, June 1.
Police Statement
Sergeant Marc Buller, from Wolverhampton’s Ettingshall, Blakenhall and Springvale Police, said: "Acting on information, neighbourhood officers spotted this dealer and were able to detain him resulting in a significant quantity of drugs being taken off the streets and him being locked up by the courts."
