The Friends of Lumb Millennium Green, supported by Rossendale Rotary members, worked tirelessly under the heat on Saturday to prepare the green for a major community event. Their efforts included trimming grass, applying preservative to fences, and putting up bunting for the upcoming Fun & Fitness event scheduled for Sunday, July 5, from noon to 4pm.
Volunteer Turnout and Maintenance
Around 13 people participated in the preparation, demonstrating the group's vibrancy and commitment. John and Andrew kindly cut the grass on the football pitch and the orchard again, ensuring the green is in tip-top condition. The group hopes for good weather on the day of the event.
