Nearly a year after a brutal attack in Birmingham, a suspect remains on the run. Jafir Nazir is wanted in connection with a savage assault on a quad bike rider in Small Heath last August.
The victim was slashed multiple times on the head with a flick knife during the attack on Monica Road. A £5,000 reward has been offered by Crimestoppers for information leading to Nazir's capture.
Accomplice Jailed
Nazir's alleged accomplice, Taylor Burns, 26, has already been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife.
The attack occurred around 6pm on a summer evening. The pair allegedly pulled up and launched their assault, leaving the victim seriously injured.
Police Appeal
Detective Sergeant Ian Leech from West Midlands Police said: "The victim of this awful attack continues to recover from his injuries. I would appeal to anyone who has any information on where Nazir is to get in touch."
Crimestoppers, which put up the reward, emphasized that people can share information anonymously to help bring Nazir to justice.
Anyone with information is urged to contact West Midlands Police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
