A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a police raid at a property in Penkridge, Staffordshire, where officers seized a number of knives and a quantity of cannabis.
The raid took place on Boscomoor Lane on Wednesday, May 20, after concerns were raised about drug use at the address, according to Staffordshire Police.
During the search, officers discovered multiple knives and cannabis. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug (cannabis) and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
A police spokesperson said: 'A man has been arrested after drugs and weapons were seized in a property in Penkridge. Following concerns raised around drug use, officers searched a home off Boscomoor Lane yesterday. A number of knives and cannabis were seized.'
The spokesperson added: 'A 28-year-old man, from Penkridge, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been released under investigation.'
