For the second time this week, a home in Birmingham has been targeted by gunfire. West Midlands Police reported that the house on Foley Road in the Ward End area was shot at in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, at approximately 2:30am. This follows a similar attack on the same property on Wednesday evening, July 1, at around 7:30pm.
Police Investigation Underway
Officers are actively investigating both incidents, which fortunately resulted in no injuries. Police have established cordons and are conducting door-to-door enquiries while reviewing CCTV footage from the neighborhood. A visible police presence will remain in the area over the coming days.
According to a police statement: "We are investigating after shots were fired at a property in Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of today (Saturday). Thankfully, no one was injured and we are working to identify and trace those involved."
Details of the Attacks
Investigators believe that the shots were fired from a vehicle just before 2:30am on Saturday. The Wednesday evening incident also involved shots fired at the property, with no one hurt. The family residing at the address has been safeguarded following the first incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage from the area to come forward.
