Police are searching for a gunman after a Birmingham home was shot at for the second time in a week, with no injuries reported. The property on Foley Road, Ward End, was targeted in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, at approximately 2:30am.

Second Shooting in Days

This incident follows a similar attack on the same home on Wednesday evening, July 1, at around 7:30pm. In both cases, no one was injured, but the family has been left shaken. West Midlands Police have increased patrols and are conducting door-to-door enquiries in the area.

According to a police statement, investigators believe the shots were fired from a vehicle just before 2:30am on Saturday. The family involved was safeguarded after the first incident, and officers are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspect.

Police Appeal for Information

Detectives are urging anyone with information or footage from the area to come forward. The police statement read: "We are investigating after shots were fired at a property in Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of today (Saturday). Thankfully, no one was injured and we are working to identify and trace those involved."

"It follows a similar incident at the property at around 7:30pm on Wednesday (1 July) during which no one was hurt. The family involved were safeguarded following that incident and officers are continuing to review CCTV as we work to establish who was responsible."

West Midlands Police have acknowledged the concern caused by gun crime in the community. "We know how worrying gun crime is, and we are working around the clock to take guns off the streets of the West Midlands," the statement added.

A visible police presence will remain in the area over the coming days as investigations continue. Officers are also carrying out door-to-door enquiries to gather more information.
