West Midlands Police have released a photograph of a man they want to speak to after a shop worker was pushed to the ground during a robbery in Birmingham. The incident occurred at a store on Kingstanding Road at around 9pm on July 5.
According to a spokesperson for the force, a man attempted to take items from the shop without paying. When a worker challenged him, the staff member was pushed to the ground.
Police appeal for information
Officers are now asking the public for help in identifying the man pictured in the released image. The spokesperson said: "Recognise this man? You may be able to help officers investigating a robbery at a shop in Kingstanding Road, Birmingham, on July 5 at around 9pm."
The spokesperson added: "A shop worker was pushed to the ground as they challenged a man taking items from the store without paying."
How to provide information
Anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact police. The spokesperson said: "If you know who the man in this image is, call 101 or message us via Live Chat on our website quoting crime number 20/314692/26."
Alternatively, members of the public can pass on information anonymously through independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
