A teenager has been charged with firearm offences after police recovered a gun in Small Heath, Birmingham. The incident occurred on Carlton Road on Monday, June 8, when officers responded to reports of disorder.
Charges and Court Appearance
Abdullah Emanuel, 19, was charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 10, where he was remanded in custody to appear at a later date.
Arrests and Bail
Six men were arrested in connection with the incident. Five of them have been bailed pending further enquiries. West Midlands Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: "A man has been charged with firearms offences after we recovered a gun in Small Heath. We were called to Carlton Road on Monday night following reports of disorder. Six people were arrested, and five were later bailed pending further enquiries. Abdullah Emanuel, 19, has been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody to appear at a later date."
