Birmingham Broad Street Assault: Victim Needs Jaw Surgery, Police Hunt Suspect
Brutal Broad Street assault leaves man needing jaw surgery

Police are hunting a suspect after a vicious late-night assault on one of Birmingham's most famous streets left a young man requiring major surgery.

Violent Attack on the 'Golden Mile'

The incident occurred on Broad Street, often dubbed the city's 'Golden Mile' for its nightlife, at approximately 11pm on Saturday, December 13. The victim, a man in his 20s, was subjected to a brutal attack that resulted in serious facial injuries.

Following the assault, the victim had to undergo surgery to his jaw to treat the damage inflicted during the violent encounter. The severity of the injuries underscores the ferocity of the attack, which has prompted a significant police investigation.

Police Release Image in Public Appeal

West Midlands Police have now issued a CCTV image of a man they urgently wish to identify and speak to in connection with the assault. The force has confirmed that extensive CCTV enquiries were conducted, with officers examining footage from numerous venues along the bustling street.

Despite this trawl, they have been unable to pinpoint the suspect, leading to this public appeal. The man in the image is described as having short brown hair, a beard, and was wearing glasses at the time.
