West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man with a distinctive tattoo they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Edgbaston. A quantity of tools were stolen from a property in Francis Road, off Hagley Road, at around 8am on Tuesday 26 May.
Police appeal after three months of enquiries
The force has been unable to identify the suspect despite carrying out a number of enquiries over the past three months. The man is described as white, with short black hair and a moustache. In the image, he is wearing a sleeveless shirt which reveals an unusual tattoo on his left arm.
The burglary took place in a residential area of Edgbaston, a short distance from Birmingham city centre. Police have not disclosed the exact nature of the tools stolen or their estimated value.

In issuing the appeal, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We want to speak to this man over a burglary in Birmingham. A number of tools were stolen from an address in Francis Road, Edgbaston, at around 8am on 26 May. We've been carrying out a number of enquiries but have been unable to identify the suspect with this distinctive tattoo.”
