Police Issue CCTV Appeal Following Wolverhampton City Centre Bar Fight
West Midlands Police have launched a CCTV appeal to identify five men involved in a violent incident at a bar in Wolverhampton city centre. The altercation occurred at a venue located in Queen Square shortly before Christmas, specifically on Tuesday, December 23.
The police reported that the fighting erupted at approximately 10:20 PM. Fortunately, no individuals sustained serious injuries during the disturbance. However, the authorities are treating the matter with urgency as part of an ongoing investigation into the disorder.
Arrests and Interviews Conducted
In connection with the incident, a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries. Additionally, a 50-year-old man voluntarily attended an interview with police officers to assist with the investigation.
Despite these actions, West Midlands Police are seeking to speak with five more men believed to be involved. To aid in their search, the force has released CCTV images captured from the scene. The images depict the individuals at the time of the incident, providing clear visuals for public identification.
Descriptions of the Men Sought
The police have provided detailed descriptions of the five men they wish to locate:
- The first man is white, with short dark hair, and was wearing a hooded jacket.
- The second man is white, dressed in a black coat over a patterned top that appears yellow and black.
- The third man is white with short brown hair, sporting a white and black zipped top.
- The fourth man is white, with short dark hair, and was also in a hooded jacket.
- The fifth man is white, wearing a light-coloured cap and a beard. He had on a black t-shirt with Moncler in capital letters on the front, and visible tattoos on his arms and neck.
