West Midlands Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to following a car theft in Dudley town centre. The vehicle was stolen from High Street on the evening of Friday, June 26, between 7pm and 8pm.
Investigation and appeal
The force has launched an investigation and is now appealing for public assistance to identify the two individuals captured on CCTV. In a statement, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Can you help us identify these two men? An investigation is underway after a car was stolen from High Street, Dudley, on June 26 between 7pm and 8pm."
The spokesperson added: "Since the incident was reported to us we've been carrying out CCTV enquiries and are now able to release images of two men we would like to speak with in connection with the theft."
How to provide information
Anyone who recognises the men or has any information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact police. The force has asked people to call 101 or use the Live Chat option on their website, quoting crime number 20/301468/26.
The appeal follows a separate incident in Dudley where an elderly man was targeted by distraction thieves, which sparked anger in the community. Police have not confirmed if the two incidents are linked.
