West Midlands Police has released a CCTV image of a man detectives want to identify as part of a fraud investigation in Sutton Coldfield. The appeal comes after a vulnerable man's bank cards were stolen in a courier fraud incident, with the cards later used to withdraw money in Yardley.
Courier fraud incident details
The incident occurred earlier this month, according to a force spokesperson. The victim, described as vulnerable, had his bank cards taken during the courier fraud. The cards were subsequently used to withdraw cash in the Yardley area of Birmingham.
Police have not disclosed the exact amount withdrawn or the precise date of the offence, but have confirmed the investigation is ongoing.
CCTV image appeal
The newly released CCTV image shows a man on a bike, wearing a black jacket. He is also seen wearing trainers and what appear to be jogging bottoms. Officers are asking anyone who recognises the man to come forward.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Recognise this man? We'd like to speak to him as part of a fraud investigation in Sutton Coldfield. A vulnerable man was a victim of courier fraud earlier this month. His bank cards were then used to withdraw money in Yardley."

The force is urging anyone with information to call 101 and quote crime reference 20/355647/26. Police have also directed the public to their website for advice on courier fraud and how to protect against it.
The investigation continues as detectives work to trace the individual in the CCTV image.
