Drug courier's 'one last line' before arrest with £50k stash
County lines courier had 'one last line' before arrest

A county lines drug courier asked police if he could have 'one last line' before they arrested him at his Norwich home, a court has heard.

Balcony Toss of £50,000 Drug Haul

Jason Revill, 28, was alone when officers arrived. The court was told he then threw a rucksack containing a significant quantity of class A drugs off his balcony before his detention. Prosecutors said the bag, found outside, held approximately half a kilogram of cocaine and 222 grams of heroin.

Norwich Crown Court heard the combined street value of the narcotics was estimated to be up to £50,000. The drugs were linked to a county lines operation transporting substances from Liverpool to Norwich.

Phone Evidence and Guilty Plea

During the search on October 21 this year, police also discovered a Nokia mobile phone connected to the drug line. Prosecutor Katie Porter-Windley noted the SIM card was not found at the scene.

Revill, who is from Liverpool, later admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply. He appeared for sentencing at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday, December 23.

Five-Year Sentence and 'Community Impact'

Recorder Nicola Fitches sentenced Revill to a total of five years and seven months in prison. The judge emphasised that by aiding in the supply of heroin and cocaine, Revill had contributed to the significant harm these drugs inflict on communities.

In mitigation, defence counsel John Morgans said Revill was relatively young and had become involved through pressure and his own addiction. He stated his client was "genuinely remorseful" and was working to become drug-free, wanting to put his criminal past behind him.

The court was informed Revill has four previous convictions for six offences, including two prior drug supply offences.
