County Lines Drug Dealer Jailed After £20k Seized

A Birmingham man who was part of a county lines drug gang has been jailed after police seized more than £20,000 in cash and hundreds of wraps of class A drugs.

Haaris Zubair, 20, was arrested last year during a targeted operation by West Midlands Police's county lines taskforce. He was found in possession of thousands of pounds in cash and drugs, and supplied large amounts of heroin and crack cocaine across Birmingham.

Police uncovered phone messages relating to drug deals, quantities and prices involving members of the drugs line. Two addresses in Birmingham were raided, where officers found over £7,000 in cash and nearly 500 wraps of class A drugs.

Operation Disrupts Drugs Line

The investigation led by West Midlands Police's county lines taskforce successfully disrupted the drugs line, which had been supplying large quantities of heroin and crack cocaine across Birmingham.

Detectives analysed phone evidence and conducted raids at two addresses, seizing significant amounts of cash and drugs. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts to tackle county lines drug dealing in the region.

Zubair's sentencing sends a strong message that those involved in drug supply will face severe consequences, including lengthy prison sentences.
