Three men have been arrested following a shooting in Coventry that left two men injured, one fighting for his life in hospital. The incident occurred on Robert Mounford Way in Tile Hill at approximately 8:30 PM on May 13.
Victims and Injuries
One man sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound to his chest and was rushed to hospital. A second man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot injury to his leg and was also taken to hospital for treatment.
Arrests Made
Police arrested three men, aged 25, 24, and 22, on suspicion of violent disorder. They remain in custody as investigations continue.
Police Statement
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: 'We have arrested three men following a violent disorder involving weapons in Tile Hill. One man was taken to hospital with a life-threatening chest injury, while a second man sustained leg injuries. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening. The suspects, aged 25, 24, and 22, were quickly arrested. We understand incidents like this concern the community, so extra patrols will be in the area today and in the coming days to offer reassurance.'
Ambulance Service
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: 'Two men sustained serious injuries after a shooting in Tile Hill. The first had life-threatening injuries and received advanced trauma care before being conveyed to hospital. The second had serious but not life-threatening injuries and was also taken to hospital after treatment at the scene.'
