Brandon McPherson, a 22-year-old drug dealer, has been jailed for 33 months after police dismantled the 'Crash' county line he ran from his home in Wolverhampton. McPherson pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
How the operation was uncovered
Police linked McPherson to the 'Crash' line after discovering the mobile phone mast most commonly used by the line was close to his Kimberley Street address. When officers raided his home in September 2024, they recovered the SIM card used by the Crash line, along with drug paraphernalia.
An extendable baton, a Nokia phone, £85 in cash and three sets of scales with class A drug residue were also seized during the raid.
Court details and defence
McPherson told the court he 'inherited' the drugs line, which allowed him to 'service his addiction at no cost'. Prosecutor Andrew Wilkins said: "He would have had significant financial benefit." Defence solicitor Justin Jarmola described McPherson as being 'blighted by addiction'.
Judge Perry noted McPherson had a 'low to medium risk of reoffending' and had no previous convictions. He told the defendant: "Try whilst you are inside to resolve these matters so you can come out a better person."
