Details of the Fatal Incident
Emergency services were called to Longmoor Lane, near its junction with Third Avenue, at around 4.15pm on Friday, 5th December. They responded to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a dark-coloured vehicle. The victim, a local woman believed to have been visiting a nearby shop, sustained severe injuries.
She was rushed to Aintree University Hospital but sadly passed away a short time later. The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene and remains at large, along with its driver.
