Five teenage boys have been arrested after two young men were stabbed in Smethwick on Monday evening. The victims, aged 17 and 18, were discovered with stab wounds on Manor Road at approximately 5:50 pm. They were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Arrests Made
West Midlands Police confirmed that five boys, aged 15 and 16, were taken into custody on suspicion of wounding. They are currently being questioned by detectives.
A police spokesperson said: "We are investigating after two teenagers were found with stab wounds in Manor Road, Smethwick, at around 5:50 pm yesterday. The pair, aged 17 and 18, were taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-threatening. Five teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are in custody for questioning. Our enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact us."
