Halesowen Robbery: Police Appeal for CCTV After Homeowner Injured

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal for information after a resident in Halesowen sustained a hand injury while attempting to stop a jewellery thief from escaping.

Incident Details

The robbery occurred at an address in Huntingtree Road shortly before 1:50 PM on Thursday, 7 May. An intruder entered the property and demanded jewellery. The resident intervened, injuring their hand in the process as the thief fled.

Suspect Escape Route

After leaving the property, the suspect travelled down Longmoor Road, through an alleyway towards Briery Road, and onto parkland that leads to Meadowbrook Road.

Police Request for CCTV

West Midlands Police have released a photograph of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. A spokesperson stated: "We're investigating after jewellery was taken during a robbery in Halesowen. An intruder got into an address in Huntingtree Road at just before 1.50pm on 7 May. A man demanded jewellery and an occupier sustained a hand injury while trying to stop the thief fleeing."

The spokesperson added: "We understand the offender then went down Longmoor Road, through an alleyway towards Briery Road and onto the park land which comes out on Meadowbrook Road, during his escape. We've released these images of a man we want to speak to as part of our ongoing enquiries. We appreciate this isn't the clearest image, but we believe there will be people who can assist our investigation."

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage from the following streets: Meadowbrook Road, Brackenfield Road, Thornhill Road, Bassnage Road, Dunstall Road, Yew Tree Road, High Farm Road, and Albrighton Road.
