Staffordshire Police have uncovered a substantial quantity of monkey dust during a raid in Washwood Heath, Birmingham, leading to the arrest of a 24-year-old man and the seizure of two cars.

On Wednesday evening, June 3, officers executed a warrant at a property in Washwood Heath, where they discovered a 'significant amount' of the Class B drug. The raid was part of proactive efforts to disrupt drug supply in Staffordshire.
Arrests and Seizures
A 24-year-old man from Birmingham and a 41-year-old woman from Stafford were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply monkey dust. Both remain in police custody as of Thursday, June 4. Additionally, two vehicles parked outside the property, believed to be linked to the investigation, were seized by West Midlands Police.
The suspects were also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Pregabalin, a Class C drug. Enquiries are ongoing.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: 'Two people have been arrested in Birmingham on suspicion of monkey dust supply offences in Staffordshire. Officers carrying out proactive work entered an address in Washwood Heath, Birmingham, yesterday evening. A significant amount of monkey dust was recovered from the address.'
