A violent attack at Huntingdon railway station has sparked a major police manhunt after a man was left fighting for his life following a stabbing incident.
The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Kieran James Khasi, who remains at large following the shocking assault that occurred on Monday afternoon.
Emergency Response at Huntingdon Station
British Transport Police were called to the scene at approximately 3:45 PM on Monday to reports of a stabbing. Emergency services, including paramedics and armed response units, rushed to the station where they discovered a man with serious stab wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where medical staff described his condition as life-threatening. He continues to receive emergency treatment.
Police Manhunt Underway
Detectives have launched an extensive operation to locate Khasi, who is believed to have fled the scene immediately after the attack. The British Transport Police have issued a public appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.
Chief Inspector John Smith stated: "This was a brutal attack that has left a man with life-changing injuries. We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and urge anyone with information to come forward immediately."

The incident caused significant disruption to rail services throughout Monday afternoon and evening. Huntingdon station was temporarily closed while forensic teams conducted their investigation, causing cancellations and delays on the Thameslink route between Peterborough and London.
Commuters faced lengthy disruptions as police cordoned off sections of the station to gather evidence. Normal service has since resumed, but passengers are advised to check for updates.
