The operation, named Operation Advance, involves the deployment of over 150 officers and specialist resources in a concerted effort to address pressing public safety concerns.

A primary focus is tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG), which remains a top priority for the force. The public will see an enhanced presence from police dogs, drone units, mounted police on horses, and dedicated bike patrols. Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are also involved, focusing on dangerous driving and uninsured vehicles.
