West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses after a 79-year-old man was pushed to the ground and robbed of gold jewellery in Bromsgrove. The incident occurred on Groveley Lane at approximately 12:30pm on Monday, 10 August, when the victim was approached by four unknown men.
Robbery Details
The attackers, who were riding two electric bikes and one motorbike, knocked the victim to the ground before stealing a gold bracelet and a gold necklace he was wearing. The suspects were all dressed in black clothing and wore face coverings, according to police.
Following the robbery, the group fled the scene in the direction of Longbridge and Rednal. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any serious physical injuries during the assault.
Police Appeal
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man, aged 79, was the victim of a robbery in Cofton Hackett yesterday (Monday 10 August)."
The spokesperson added: "The victim was approached by four unknown men on two electric bikes and one motorbike around 12.30pm on Groveley Lane. The men pushed the victim to the ground and stole a gold necklace and gold bracelet he was wearing. The suspects, who were all wearing black clothing and face coverings, then fled the area in the direction of Longbridge / Rednal. Thankfully, the victim didn’t suffer any serious injuries."
Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen the suspects before or after the robbery to come forward. The force has provided direct contact details for the investigating officer.
