A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a biker died in a collision near an Aldi store in Nuneaton. The incident occurred on Kingswood Road at approximately 11:50 AM on Sunday, April 19.
Details of the Collision
The crash involved a motorbike and a car. The biker, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Warwickshire Police confirmed the arrest on Friday, May 1. The suspect, from Nuneaton, has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Information
Authorities are still searching for a second motorbike rider who was seen in the area at the time of the crash. The bike is described as orange with the number 22 in large white font on the front and both sides. Police believe the rider may have crucial information about the incident.
In a statement, a Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "A 21-year-old man from Nuneaton has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving as we continue to investigate a fatal collision in the town. At 11:50 AM on Sunday, April 19, a man in his thirties died after a motorbike he was riding was in collision with the driver of a car on Kingswood Road. Shortly after, we published an appeal to track the rider of a second motorbike who was seen in the area at the same time. And on Friday, May 1, we arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving. He is now on police bail while enquiries continue. We're still working to find that second motorbike."
