West Midlands Police have made an arrest following a break-in at a prominent city centre Starbucks branch in the early hours of this morning.

Early Morning Alarm Triggers Police Response

Officers were dispatched to the Starbucks cafe on New Street in Birmingham city centre after an in-store alarm was activated at approximately 4am on Friday, November 14. The prompt response led to the swift apprehension of a suspect near the scene.

Suspect Apprehended and Items Seized

Following a search of the individual, police confirmed they seized a glass break hammer and a quantity of Class-B drugs. A 44-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary, 'going equipped', and possession of a Class-B drug.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated that the suspect was located thanks to a description provided to city centre officers and that he remains in police custody this morning.
