A man has been arrested following a double stabbing at a popular Birmingham music venue. The incident occurred on Saturday, 9 May, at Luna Springs on Lower Trinity Street in Digbeth.
Police were called to the venue shortly before 7pm after reports that two men had been stabbed. At the time, Luna Springs was hosting a day rave event known as 'Cru2: The Birmingham Shutdown'.
West Midlands Police confirmed on Monday, 11 May, that a man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the stabbings. One of the injured men has since been discharged from hospital, while the second remains under treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Appeal for Information
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with mobile phone footage to come forward. The venue, which describes itself as Birmingham's biggest event space with capacity for up to 3,000 guests, was crowded at the time of the attack.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We know there were lots of people inside the venue at the time, and as we continue to establish the exact circumstances we'd ask anyone who has any mobile phone footage, or information to get in contact.”
