West Midlands Police has confirmed that a man arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body at a house in Acocks Green has been released on bail. The force issued the update as forensic investigations continued at the property on Oakhurst Road.

Woman Declared Dead at the Scene

Officers were called to the property at 10.35am on Friday, September 11, following concerns for the welfare of a female. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, but sadly nothing could be done to help her, and she was declared dead at the scene.

The scene was immediately sealed off, and a man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody. In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "The suspect has now been released on bail while the investigation continues."

Forensic Teams and Air Ambulance at the Scene

The Midlands Air Ambulance attended the incident and landed in the Park Way, according to local reports. Throughout Friday and Saturday morning, there was significant police activity, with forensic officers seen going in and out of the property.

A blue plastic sheet was placed across the front window of the house, with police preventing entry. The force added: "We are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of what happened and encourage anyone with information to contact us via 101 quoting log 1542 of 11 September."
